The top 10 Ways to Encourage Kids to Write well. An invaluable tool for kids to master and use, just like reading texts. At first, they started writing words and sentences that they would be more confident in the journey of life. Many parents teach their young children how to read even before they enter kindergarten. But why not encourage them to write before their first year of formal education and for writing? Based on my thirty-three years of teaching in elementary school, here is what I would suggest.

1. Children will learn by example. To be a better reader or writer, children need to read and watch their parents frequently. If the home environment is filled with books and active readers and writers, young children want to explore books and writing. Children can become interested in books and writing through what they see and hear in their home and school environment.
